Rye

Cognac
1 oz

Peychaud's bitters
4 dashes

Absinthe
rinse

Simple syrup
1⁄4 oz

Lemon
1 swath

Instructions

1. Rinse the serving glass with Absinthe.

2. Combine all other ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.

3. Stir until well chilled.

4. Serve neat.

5. Express the lemon swath over the drink.
